Saskatchewan Trip - Day 7

On Wednesday June 19th, Chris and I headed out for our last day of exploring in Saskatchewan.  We headed out to the southeast of our base, and explored in some areas we had previously scouted.  We got permission to photograph in a scrap metal yard.  This place contained an immense collection of old iron.  Most of it was damaged or missing parts, so composition and angle of view became very critical.  We spent a couple of hours here, but easily could have spent a lot more.
We also explored an old abandoned hotel, as well as a really cool old stone house.  I took a ton of photographs on this day, and I think the best thing would be to just present the images and let them do the talking.  The weather was unsettled and the sun came and went all day long.  There was a bit of a breeze, but nothing like we had experienced earlier in the week.  At one point a shower rolled through, but we mostly missed it as we were driving at the time.  We did manage to soak our feet again as we walked through the tall grass up to that stone house.
The next morning, on June 20th, we packed up and hit the road for home.  We spent seven full days driving around and experiencing Saskatchewan.  Two additional days were spent getting to and from our destination.  We felt a little sad that our adventure was coming to an end.  But at the same time, we really enjoyed our week in Saskatchewan, and I know we created some great photographs.
