Vaccination Day

Margarit and I have an appointment this afternoon to get our first dose of Covid vaccine.  We will be getting the Astra Zeneca vaccine, administered at a local pharmacy.  I know there is a lot of apprehension over this particular vaccine, due to some reported blood clot issues in Europe.  But, there were something like 75 instances of blood clotting [some fatal] out of 11 million doses.  I wonder what the instance of blood clotting is in the general population, without the vaccine being part of the equation?  In any event, we are prepared to chance those odds for protection against the virus.  The odds of catching the virus and having a bad outcome are much greater.  Last week Alberta Health Services began to offer this vaccine to those between the age of 55 and 64.  We quickly jumped on board.  Margarit just made the cut as it was her birthday a few days ago.
