On October 2nd my friends Chris and Connie came up to Edmonton for a visit. We went out exploring to the northeast of the city. We had one specific destination in mind, and it was a bust. Chris had tried and failed to arrange permission to access an abandoned site. This was one of the few times that he was unsuccessful. We went to check out the site anyway and found that it had been fenced and secured. So, we set off on backroads and checked out a whole bunch of other old abandoned buildings. Margarit came along with us for the day.
There was lots of really cool stuff and we even found a couple of headstones inside one old building. I ended up taking a number of photographs with my view camera, as well as a whole bunch of snapshots with my phone.
At the end of a long day of exploring we retreated back home to our place and ordered in some take out food. We sat around visiting for a while and had a few drinks.
