This is the image that I selected for the November page of my 2022 calendar. This one was taken in late 2018. It is an ancient Limber Pine Tree up at Whirlpool Point. I am told that the oldest tree in Alberta is a Limber Pine growing on this rocky outcrop... though this is not the tree. Whirlpool Point is located along the North Saskatchewan River in Clearwater County. It is a short drive of about half an hour from my cottage.
