Heavy Snowfall Warning

Why are the meteorologists always right when the forecast is bad....?  They were spot on about the heavy snowfall warning.
I awoke in the middle of the night on Sunday April 20th... well actually it was Monday at that point, I suppose.  I got a drink of water and went to the bathroom.  It was about 2:45 in the morning, and no snow had yet materialized.  I went back to bed and after a couple of hours I eventually dozed off.  I slept really well, and finally woke up around 9:30.  By this time it was snowing heavily, and there was significant accumulation.
It snowed off and on most of the day on Easter Monday.  I stayed in the cottage and just watched the snow come down for the most part.  By late afternoon, it had warmed up to a degree or two above freezing, and even though light snow continued to come down, off an on. the accumulated snow started sliding off the roofs and falling off the trees.
Perhaps there will be an opportunity to get out with my camera one more time before I have to reluctantly return to the city.
I spent the day researching stuff on line, sending e-mails, catching up on news and generally relaxing.  I was grateful that I brought a whole bunch of firewood into the cottage the day before as everything outside is soaking wet now.  In the evening I made a batch of my almost-world-famous enchiladas, and kicked back to watch some playoff hockey.
