This is the image I selected for the November page of my 2025 David Thompson Country calendar. This little inlet extends off of Abraham Lake, and is connected by a culvert under Highway 11. In the late summer, when the reservoir is filled to capacity, this inlet fills up right into the trees. Then over the fall and winter months, as the water in the reservoir is released, the water level recedes, and with it, the ice collapses. It makes for a rather interesting image and something not normally seen in nature.
