30th Annual East Coulee Springfest - and photography gear.

Margarit and I travelled down to East Coulee on Friday May 2nd.  We met my friend Rob from Vernon, at the shop.  He had borrowed a truck and loaded it up with most of his remaining darkroom and photography gear.  He has made the decision to give up on photography and focus on cycling and skiing.  I agreed to buy everything from him and attempt to resell it.  I really don't need any of the gear myself as I have an extensive collection of stuff already.
We off loaded all the stuff, and hung around visiting that evening.  We had a sandwich from Jason at Birdland, and then made a small fire in the chiminea.  The next morning Rob hit the road for home.  Margarit and I stayed and attended the Springfest music festival.  This year was the 30th anniversary of the event, which is a fund raiser for the East Coulee School Museum.
Our friends Frank and Chris attended with us, and their dog Jed got to hang around with our crazy dog Hank.  It was sunny and hot on both Friday and Saturday, and we saw over ten of the bands that were playing.  The event was rather poorly attended and I think the organizers are to blame, as it was hardly advertised at all.  The bands were all really good, and donate their time, so no blame rests with them.
It showered early on Sunday morning and it was cool and overcast.  Margarit and I packed up most of the darkroom gear, and our own stuff, in the afternoon and made our way back home to Edmonton.
I've lost count as to how many of these Springfests I've attended.  It must be close to ten.  This one was definitely the worst one in terms of attendance and organization.
