This photo is from the second visit to the Peers Hotel, for the Beer Parlour Project, in October of 2024. Margarit, Chris, Arturo and I headed out to the hotel. This visit was for the last night that the hotel was to remain open, and was also a memorial to former patron and staff member Dana, who had passed away shortly after our first visit.
This is Dallas and Ron, two locals who had a lot to say. They sat down with Chris for an interview and provided him with a significant amount of information about the area.
I shot this on a sheet of Kodak T-Max 400, pushed to 800 iso, and developed in T-Max Developer. The development time was extended to 8:35 minutes at 24C to compensate for the underexposure.
I shot this on October 26th 2024, at about 7:30PM. I used my Ebony view camera and a Fujinon 125mm lens. To indirect photo floods provided some additional light to the dark interior of the tavern. The exposure was for 1/2 second at F8.0.
