On April 6th I ventured back down into my darkroom and printed yet more images for the Apparitions project. This latest batch included a reprint of one of my earlier images. I messed up the original one with some careless bleaching. This batch also included three new images. With these I now have a total of 31 prints for the project. I think I will still do at least one more print session, as there are three or four more negatives that I would like to see. That should put me up to somewhere around 34. From that, I have to select the 16 that will be included in the exhibition.
This time around I printed two different versions of the same negative, one in portrait and the other in landscape orientation. This was a shot of the lockers in the wash house at the Nordegg mine, with the remains of a pair of boots in the foreground. Keeping in mind that the mine closed 70 years ago, it is understandable why only the soles of the boots remain. I'm not counting this as two images in my total of 31, as if this one makes the cut it would be one or the other.
