We are now nearing the end of Week Eight of our renovation and completion is in sight. Earlier this week the counter tops were installed. Since then the contractor has been working on the installation of ceramic tiles, both on the floor at our back entrance, and as a backsplash between the counter tops and the upper cabinets. The new doors to our bathroom, linen closet and bedrooms also went in this week. Tomorrow the tiles will all be grouted. After that the remaining work in the kitchen will include installation of our range, the dishwasher, range hood, hot water dispenser; the hook up of plumbing and electrical, and the re-installation of our garbuerator and refrigerator. Over the weekend we will be able to start moving some stuff back into the new cabinets. And by next week we should be able to set up our kitchen once again.
Once the kitchen is set up we will be able to move back into the house. This will also clear the space in our living room and family room, where everything has been temporarily stored, so that the contractor can complete painting, and installation of casing and baseboards....!!!
