The Renegades played Game 15 of the winter season on Sunday morning. Once again we played against the Hungry Beavers. Like past games, this one was really close and we traded goals back and forth through the entire game. Late in the game we were hanging on to a one goal lead and managed to survive the barrage that came at us in the final two minutes. We skated off with a close 7-6 victory and extended our winning streak to five games.
At this point we are now half way through the season, and solidly in second place. Most of the teams in our division have been brought in from other divisions at various times during the first half. As a result, almost all of the teams have had their points adjusted. Of the teams that have been in this division or higher for the entire season thus far, we are tied for the best record in our division. If we can continue playing at the same level for the second half of the season, we should be in playoff contention by the end of March.
