April Calendar Image

This is the image that I selected for the April page of my Fine Art Monochrome calendar.  These dead trees are in an old beaver pond, not very far away from the cottage in Nordegg.

I shot this two years ago, in April of 2021.  This was a large format 4" x 5" negative.  The film was the now discontinued Efke PL25M, developed in Rodinal developer.  I used my Ebony view camera and a long 400mm lens.  A dark red #25 filter was used to lighten the bleached trunks, and darken the water and the background.
