I continue to lay about the house.... doing next to nothing. My recovery is VERY slow, but it seems that I am gradually getting better. As difficult as it is, I'm not walking on my injured leg. I have put slight weight on it from time to time, mostly just for balance. There is very little pain, and the strength is slowly beginning to return. The most uncomfortable part is the incision, which is still very tender.
In attempting to stay occupied I sit down at my computer from time to time, and go through some of my previously developed images. This one fits with the theme of my previous one, though it is obviously not a neon sign. This old tin cigarette advertisement was found nailed to the back wall of an abandoned barn in a small town in Saskatchewan. Margarit and I stumbled upon it when we were out exploring last September. It's difficult to make out but it says something about being rolled with all weather paper, at the bottom of the sign.
I shot this one with my view camera on Kodak Tri-X Pan 4x5 sheet film. I developed this on my Jobo Processor back in November. I gave the shot plus development in PMK Developer in an attempt to bring up the contrast and make the sign more legible. It is pretty far gone with rust and damage and I don't really know if I succeeded. I used a long 250mm lens to get in tight on the sign, and this is cropped somewhat from all that was included in the composition. A #58 Green filter was used in the hope it would separate the reds of the rusty metal a little. I originally didn't bother to post this image, as I'm not thrilled with it. But in these days of my recovery, running out of stuff to post, I circled back to it.
