My Renegades Hockey team finished the summer regular season in third place in our division. For some reason they call us Division 8 [maybe because that's where we play in the winter season], but we are actually in the 5th division. They have divisions 1, 3, 5, and 7 but no divisions 2, 4 or 6 this summer. There are quite a few less teams playing summer hockey.
We matched up against the Angry Dragons for the best of three quarter final round. I missed the first game as I was out at Nordegg, but we won 13-5. Last night we played game two, and the Angry Dragons rallied back for a 6-2 victory. So the series is tied and moves on to the third and final game next week. Our guys are getting a little burnt out from all the hockey. We started the last winter season in very early September of 2018. There was the 30 game regular season, plus an extended playoff run that lasted up until almost the end of April. Then in very early May the summer season got underway. That was 18 regular season games plus now the playoffs. I think that puts as at about 62 games in 48 weeks. If we make an extended playoff run this summer, there could be up to 7 more games over the next three weeks. Then a break of a few days before the next winter season starts up again. I didn't make it to all of the games, but I did make it out to 49 so far....
