The last day that Hailey and I were out at the cottage was April 30th. It was gorgeous, and the temperature peaked at about +23C. It was fairly breezy, but still a wonderful day. We left the cottage in the mid afternoon, and arrived back in the city before dinner. It seems that wind blew in a weather system, and later that evening the snow started up... again. There was no snow in Edmonton, but it cooled off noticeably and became overcast. Out at the cottage we got close to six inches of snow before it turned to rain, and the daytime high on May 1 only made it to a couple of degrees above freezing. Here is an image from my security camera that shows the Christmas like scene...!
Surprisingly, within a matter of a few hours, the snow was almost all gone. And this was despite the fact that the temperature only struggled up to about +7C or so. The second security camera photo was taken the next day, on Sunday May 2, and you can see that almost all the snow is gone... thankfully....
