Helena and I had a couple of great weather days down in the badlands. On Wednesday and Thursday it was sunny and unseasonably mild. On Friday morning we woke up to rain, which began to turn to snow. We kept reasonably warm in the trailer at night with the furnace running, but it got a little chilly. By noon the snow was beginning to accummulate. Later in the day it quit, and by evening it was mostly melted. By it was a cool and windy day, so we had to find other things to keep busy. We checked out some of shops downtown, and Helena got a really cool cowboy hat. Then we went over to the Newcastle Hotel and had a couple of drinks, and I taught Helena how to play pool.
We also spent a couple of hours touring the Royal Tyrrell Museum. It has been a number of years since I was there and it was cool to see it again. Afterwards we grabbed a couple of pizzas in town at Pizza249 and then headed back to the shop. Frank and Chris came out and joined us and we stayed up late visiting.
