The Renegades Hockey Team has advanced to the division final. Hockey players are very superstitious... It is unlucky to change jerseys... or to wash them. It is unlucky to stop or change any pre-game rituals. It is also unlucky to shave. I stopped shaving when we were into the first round of the playoffs. That was back on March 12. We won the first round against the Performance Graphics Panthers. Then we won the second round against the Mighty Ducks. Tonight we started the divisional finals against the Canadian Moose Heads. One of our players took a puck to the lip in the first period and got cut pretty bad. He hung in there to finish the game before heading to a medicenter to get stitched up. The team came back from behind to tie the game in regulation, with our goalie pulled in the dying minute. Then we went on to win in a shootout. One more win and the divisional championship is ours...!
Can't change anything now... Can't wash the gear, no matter how bad it stinks... And can't shave... That would be unlucky...
