Back in May I went out for a day trip with my brother in law Shawn. He is new to photography, having recently acquired a Canon digital camera. Although I am the wrong person to teach anything about digital photography, I am very experienced with the basics of composition, exposure, depth of field, etc.
So we set out for a drive and explored a bunch of backroads to the northeast of the city. As per usual I found a bunch of stuff to point our cameras at. I came away with these phone snapshots, and a bunch of exposed sheet film. Once some of that film gets developed, I will share the results here on my blog. It was a great day and we really enjoyed the time spent exploring.
On our way back into the city we stopped off at the Victoria Hotel in Bruderheim for a beer. This was the location for a couple of outings of the Beer Parlour Project. We said hello to the owners Al and Liza and visited with the locals a bit before making our way back home later in the evening.
